Dylan Powell
Born in Midland, Dylan lived in Big Spring until 1997 when the family moved to the Houston area. He graduated from Needville ISD in 2009, where he played football, basketball, baseball, golf, ran track, and was in band. He showed lambs and was heavily involved in rodeo. He attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Tx where he was on the rodeo team. In 2011 he won the Southern Region Team Roping title and qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming. The college team’s collected points at the College National Finals earned them the National Championship that year. He graduated from college in December of 2012 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduating he moved to Midland and sold oilfield equipment in 2013. In 2014, a new career opportunity came about and he was able to move closer to home where he became an insurance agent for Texas Farm Bureau. He was an agent in Fort Bend County until he was promoted to agency manager of the Guadalupe County Farm Bureau office in May of 2016. Although new to Seguin, Dylan is excited to be involved in giving back to the community, particularly around issues that affect area children.
